<P>קריירה כדורסל ממוצעת מסתיימת בערך בגיל 30, רבים מהשחקנים מושכים עד גיל 35, נדירים מאוד ממשיכים לשחק עד סביבות גיל 40 במיוחד במקצוע בו אין הרבה כבוד לשחקנים הבוגרים והמנוסים ורוב המאמנים מעדיפים ללכת על עלומים ואתלטיות. </P>
<P>מיקי ברקוביץ', ספסימן גופני, משך עד גיל 41 ורשם אחרי קריירה ארוכה מאוד, שיא של 469 משחקי ליגה שלא יישבר בקרוב. ברקוביץ' גם שיחק עונה אחת במכללה בארצות הברית, כך שהחמיץ עוד כ-22 משחקים שהיו מקרבים אותו מאוד ל-500. בסה"כ שיחק בליגה 23 עונות.</P>
<P>דורון ג'מצ'י עוד אחד ששמר על גופו יותר מכל דבר אחר, שיחק 466 משחקים עד גיל 39 ומן הסתם היה יכול לשחק עוד 2-3 עונות. ג'מצ'י יסתפק בתואר מלך הסלים של הליגה בכל הזמנים, כנראה תואר עליו ישמור עוד מאה שנה לפחות. גם ג'מצ'י שיחק 23 עונות.</P>
<P>במקום השלישי והרביעי נמצאים שני חולונים שאהבו את המשחק יותר מכל, שניהם עם 434 משחקים. מוטי דניאל וישראל אלימלך.דניאל החל לשחק בליגת העל כבר בגיל 15 וחצי והחמיץ שתי עונות עבור קולג' בארצות הברית. אם היה נשאר בארץ במקום ללכת לקולג' היה כנראה עולה למקום הראשון בתולדות הליגה. דניאל שיחק 21 עונות בליגת העל ובערוב הקריירה שלו המשיך ושיחק בליגה הלאומית. בעונהה האחרונה שיחק בליגת המכללות החדשה ובקבוצה מיפו בליגה א'<BR><BR>ישראל אלימלך שיחק עד גיל 38 ולאורך כל הקריירה כמעט ולא החמיץ משחקים למרות שהיה מבלה משחקים שלמים בזינוקים על הפרקט להצלת כדורים אבודים או נסיונות חטיפה. אלימלך משך 20 עונות עד שפרש.</P>

<P>במקום החמישי שחקן שעדיין פעיל, תומר שטיינהואר שיחק ב-423 משחקי ליגה ואחרי שעזב את ליגת העל המשיך ושיחק עוד חמש עונות בליגה השלישית ובעונה האחרונה בליגה הלאומית וברזומה שלו לפחות 550 משחקים בקריירה בשלוש הליגות הבכירות. גם שטיינהואר בילה עונה אחת בקולג' שבלעדיה היה מטפס בסולם המתמידים כלפי מעלה.</P>
<P>במקום השישי ארז חזן, שכמו שטיינהואר, שיחק 19 עונות בליגת העל, וסיים את הקריירה עם 410 משחקים, לחזן היתה עונה נוספת במדי הפועל צפת, אבל הקבוצה התפרקה באמצע העונה וכל המשחקים נמחקו מהרזומה של חזן, כמו העונה כולה. </P>
<P>במקום השביעי תנחום כהן מינץ ששיחק 16 עונות במכבי ת"א, עבר לאליצור ת"א, שיחק במדיה בליגה השניה, העלה אותה לליגה הראשונה והמשיך במדיה עוד 4 עונות ובסה"כ 20 עונות ככדורסלן בליגת העל, כהן-מינץ רשם 403 משחקים בקריירה. </P>
<P>מי שעלה השנה למקום השמיני הוא משה ברנר מגבעת שמואל. בגיל 38, ברנר סגר את העונה ה-17 שלו בליגת העל והגיע ל-390 משחקים בקריירה. קשה להאמין שברנר ימשיך וישחק בליגת העל השנה לאור העובדה שבקושי שיחק ושירד ליגה עם גבעת שמואל, אבל אולי הרצון והאהבה למשחק ימשכו אותו לעוד עונה.</P>
<P>במקום התשיעי עוד אחד מהשלישיה החולונית הגדולה, ניב בוגין עבר הרבה פציעות בקריירה, אבל תמיד התעקש להמשיך וסחב 18 עונות בליגת העל ו-374 משחקים. </P>
<P>במקום העשירי דורון שפע, ששיחק 17 עונות בליגת העל ורשם 368 משחקים. שפע המשיך ושיחק עוד מספר שנים בליגה א' במדי הפועל מטה יהודה. </P>
